Meet Our Service Providers

Our hair stylists have different levels of expertise and experience, and their services are priced accordingly.  We stand behind the quality of our work, and all of our stylists have gone through a rigorous training program to ensure that our all of our clients receive high quality services.

We have four different levels of stylists:
​Sprouting, Budding, Blossoming, and Full Bloom
  • Our Sprouting Stylists are salon assistants and are currently undergoing a rigorous training program. They are not taking clients on our salon floor yet, but they are destined for greatness! If you would like information about being a model for training for a discounted price, please call us at 919-928-0028.
  • Our Budding Stylists have completed a rigorous training program, are extremely talented, and have been evaluated as being very proficient and ready to perform all types of hair services.
  • Our Blossoming Stylists are long past their training programs, and have been evaluated as being stellar stylists that perform all services at high quality standards.
  • Our Full Bloom Stylists are seasoned master stylists with at least 10 years experience. They are considered experts in the industry.

Meet Katy
​(AKA Mom)
​Owner, Full Bloom Stylist
A native of California, Katy is the owner of Rishi Salon and Spa, which she named after her best friend and husband, Rishi. She believes that beauty transcends the physical form, and that the greatest beauty in a person comes from within. Her dream of creating a welcoming atmosphere where people with diverse backgrounds and cultures can come together to feel beautiful has been manifested in the salon. Katy has retired from doing hair on clients, but because she loves teaching, she is still the primary trainer of our assistants.  She has often said that empowering people to step into their own power is her life purpose, and the salon enables her to do that - one stylist at a time. When she isn't in the salon, Katy loves to travel and spend time in nature, especially with her family.  She also owns the Rainbow Mystery School and teaches Andean mysticism and the ways of the P'aqos (medicine men and women) from the highlands of Peru, with whom she has been studying for more than a decade.

Meet Christina
Full Bloom Stylist
A native of Indialantic, Florida, Christina is a seasoned hairdresser and has been in the industry for almost 30 years. When she is not at the salon, she is spending time with her daughter. Christina specializes in color, foiling, color correcting, and Balayage techniques. She is a certified Hair Loss Expert with Zenagen, and a certified Brazilian Blowout specialist. She also strongly believes in thorough consultations to ensure that communication is clear, and happiness is always the end result. Christina is looking forward to finally giving your hair a home.

Meet Jennifer
​Full Bloom Stylist
Jennifer grew up in Raleigh, where she started her career in the hair industry 20 years ago. Some of her color and cut work was featured in Hairstyle, Short Hair Gallery, and Hairshow magazines. After taking some time away from the chair to focus on family life and building her Airbnb business, she has found her way back and is excited to return to the creative work she has always loved . When not working, you can find her cheering on her kids or out on a run in the neighborhood. Jennifer enjoys multidimensional and fashion coloring, men's haircuts, and a good blowout.

Meet Denisse
Blossoming Stylist
Denisse is a great listener, and is very good at creating looks for her clients based on their specific needs. She specializes in highlights and gives amazing blowouts, especially on curly and textured hair.  She is also an amazing Balayage artist, and loves giving long hair life and fluidity with the amazing layering techniques in her toolbox. Denisse's big smile is absolutely infectious, and while she has an amazing wit that keeps us all laughing, her calm demeanor also keeps our team grounded.

Budding Stylist
Savannah grew up just down the road in the quaint historical village of Saxapahaw, where she still lives, enjoying time with her husband and three dogs. While she is our newest stylist, she recently completed our rigorous training program and is thoroughly ready to transform your look. Meet Janice
​Reiki Master
A native of Pennsylvania, Janice is our Reiki Master. She has been studying and practicing Reiki Healing for over  20 years. Her first passion was the culinary arts. Having studied at Cordon Bleu in London and soon after working as an assistant chef for Jacques Pepin and later Julia Child. She founded her own cooking school in California, had her own radio cooking show, and developed the Natural Chef Program at Central Carolina Community College. Throughout her impressive career she developed a second passion for helping and healing people through the art of Reiki.  She also offers certification classes for Reiki I and Reiki II, and is also qualified to train you to be a Reiki Master.

Meet Eduardo
Full Bloom Stylist
Eddy's passion for beauty began during his dance days in his mid teens where he had to learn the intricacies of makeup. After college he decided that beauty was his first and true passion and attended cosmetology school to make his dreams of making every person's inner beauty shine outwardly come true. He specializes in blondes, from balayage to foiling and color, but he also enjoys every facet of hair design and makeup artistry. Eddy is also a certified Brazilian Blowout Master. His makeup work has been featured in local fashion and bridal magazines, as well as on top of local runway shows and the stages of beauty pageants. He is fluent in English and Spanish and is in the process of learning Portuguese, French.

Reiki Master

​Sarah is an expert at short haircuts and men's barbering techniques. In addition to her awesome skills for the latest trends, she also loves edgy looks and fashion color, so if you like to rock it short or want to walk on the wild side, Sarah is the stylist for you!

Blossoming Stylist
Rachel grew up in Michigan, and has a very sweet personality. She is very talented with short hair and men's cuts, and knows her way around a pair of clippers! She also loves doing hair color, and giving women a new look! Her sweet demeanor and attention to detail will leave you feeling relaxed refreshed. She is ready for you to be in her chair!

Meet Brooke
Massage Therapist
LMBT NC License #3776
During a massage session, Brooke strives to make you feel welcome and at ease. Her goal is to create a space that enables you to fully relax, and access peace within. She is fascinated with the mind/body/spirit connection and has taken many related continuing education classes to enhance her technique and connect with her clients. Brooke is also certified in hypnosis, yoga, and life coaching, which has greatly influenced and enhanced her massage practice. While in a session, she may incorporate breathwork techniques or guided imagery into your experience in order to focus your awareness into a more relaxed state. Brooke enjoys connecting with family and friends, hiking, practicing yoga, writing poetry, embracing her inner goofball, and appreciating the little things in life.

Meet Ely
Reiki Practitioner
Ely was born in São Paulo Brazil, where she studied Art Education and English-Portuguese Translation at the University of São Paulo. It was in Brazil where she had her first contact with Reiki, receiving three Reiki certifications. Since coming to North Carolina, she not only participates in Rishi's monthly reiki shares, but she also continues to send Reiki to anyone in need and practices it on herself. In addition to a robust daily wellness practice of meditation and yoga, Ely is also currently training to be a yoga instructor (wow!). She says that all of these wellness practices, in addition to doing Reiki, help her to stay in balance, especially when things are turbulent. Ely also works on small, sustainable farms and studies Sustainable Agriculture at CCCC, and has a special interest in medicinal herbs. In her spare time, you may see her leading yoga practice groups at the farm, or dancing the Salsa and other Latin rhythms.
